Water, Sewer & Garbage Rates

The City of Coppell utilizes a seasonal water rate structure to encourage conservation. During the summer months, water is used primarily for lawn irrigation. This usage can account for up to 60% of summer water use. Experts predict that as the population continues to grow, the demand for and availability of water will begin to stress public water supplies and systems. Those who dramatically increase their water use during the months of June through October will help pay for the additional water needed to keep up with peak demand. Effective February 1, 2018, the City of Coppell adopted a water rate structure based on meter sizes, which is outlined in the following tables.
