New Water Rates Effective June 1, 2021

Effective June 1, 2021, the City of Coppell will switch from a seasonal water rate structure to an increasing “block” rate structure for residential and irrigation meter accounts. An increasing block (or tier) rate structure establishes rates that increase with water usage.

In addition to the increasing block rate structure for water, a reduction in the sewer volume cap from 14,000 gallons to 13,000 gallons will also go into effect for residential accounts on June 1. Wastewater rates remain unchanged.

The City is not expected to collect any addition revenue as a result of the rate structure change or the sewer volume cap. These changes are revenue neutral.

For more information about water or sewer rates, contact Utility Billing at 972-304-3695. A detailed breakdown of the rate structure can be found on the Water, Sewer & Garbage Rates page.

Utility Assistance

In April 2020, due to a statewide mandate issued by Governor Greg Abbott, the City of Coppell began waiving penalties and service cutoffs for delinquent utility payments to assist residents impacted by COVID-19. The mandate has expired, and the City of Coppell has begun applying penalties to delinquent accounts. Accounts with a past due amount may be disconnected. To avoid an interruption in service, please remit the amount due on your last bill. If you need further assistance, please call Utility Billing at 972-304-3695 to discuss payment plans to prevent the disconnection of service for non-payment.

Utility Payment Options

The front window of the Utility Billing division is currently closed to the public. Options are available to pay utility bills without coming inside of Town Center:
