Applicants notified for interviews the week of September 20th

Emails will be sent to each applicant informing them that they have been selected or not for an interview for their desired board or commission.

Interview Process – September 29 through October 21, 2021

All interviews will begin at 6 p.m. on the below dates, unless otherwise indicated. Applicants can make the decision to attend an in-person interview or participate via Zoom. 

FOARD Taskforce – Wednesday, September 29th 

Library Board – Thursday, September 30th  

Youth Advisor for Park Board - Monday, October 4th at 5:30 p.m.

Planning & Zoning Commission – Thursday, October 14th

Youth Advisor for Library Board - Thursday, October 14th at 6:00 p.m.

Smart City Board – Monday, October 18th at 5:30 p.m.

Parks & Recreation Board – Tuesday, October 19th

Board of Adjustment – Wednesday, October 20th  

Animal Services Advisory & Appeals Board – Thursday, October 21st  

Conduct Review Board will not have interviews.

Appointments – November 9, 2021

An agenda item will be submitted for the November 9, 2021, City Council meeting to appoint members to the City’s Boards & Commissions.

Letters of Appointment and/or Regret – after November 9th

The City Secretary’s Office will notify all applicants indicating their appointment and date of being sworn into office, and/or letters of regret.

Boards & Commission Reception - December 14th

The City will host a reception for new, current, and exiting members. A swearing-in ceremony will take place during the City Council meeting.

The City of Coppell acknowledges its responsibility to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Thus, in order to assist individuals with disabilities who require special services (i.e. sign interpretative services, alternative audio/visual devices, and amanuenses) for participation in or access to the City of Coppell sponsored public programs, services, and/or meetings, the City requests that individuals makes requests for these services 72 hours ahead of the scheduled program, service, and/or meeting.
